All children, except one, grow up.
They soon know that they will grow up, and the way Wendy knew was this.
Sadly, years have passed since her grand adventures in Neverland,
and Wendy believes herself to be quite grown up.
She helps her mother with all the boys around the house,
does the mending and the washing up, and is even entertaining a few suitors
(much to Father's dismay).
But there is still a part of her that remembers that promise that she made, so very long ago,
in a place and a time that feels so very far away.
Just always be waiting for me.
Wendy is taken from between the last chapter of the book and the epilogue,
after she begins to grow up but before she is married.
After all, many adventures await her during this exciting time.
